Verizon Smart family issues

I have since removed and redownloaded the updated app. Now that all devices are paired texts are not showing up, and the web brower/apps monitoring is blinking out when they leave the house, however when they return home it starts working again. Is this maybe cause the VPN is turned off or are they deleting the app and then redownloading it? Just making sure before I have a sit down with my kids. Also apps are showing that they say were never visited but I believe differently I just wanted to check everything before I had a family sit down.
