Add Contact or Block from Recent Call List

I'm almost certain that I used to be able to long-press on a recent caller and get a menu to "add to contacts", "Block Caller" etc. Today a long-press on a recent call produces a check mark (Selected) and the trash can icon.

I really need to add a recent caller to my contacts and block another one. I hope it's not the blockhead using the phone!

Along with millerwd, I am unable to BLOCK a "recent" call that shows up in my call list. Lease address this part of the issue as well. Thank you
