Spent 3 hrs on chat tonight and they couldn't figure it out. Had to pop an old Verizon sim. In my new carrier unlocked s25 ultra to work. I read that Verizon needs to add my esim to their dmd database. How do I request this?
Thanks for sharing. I didn't realize this is a potential problem with eSIM. As for getting a request put through, I'd suggest using live chat and type "live agent" to get to a real person. Or you can send a PM to @vzw_customer_support and someone will get back to you. Others have had luck contacting Verizon on other social media channels, as large companies all have accounts on well-known social media.
Oops, I apologize for suggesting the live chat (again) if you've already tried that [me is now red-faced]. Sometimes, it's a matter of just getting the right person.
Hello Scroder. This request needs to be made through Customer Care. We can help. Please watch out for a private message from us. -Sara
Verizon needs to drop the phone’s info into their DMD system.
So to add another esim i need to speak to Verizon first? Can't just do it from the phone?
Hi there! We do offer self-serve options when it comes to activating your eSIM. For more details, please visit https://www.verizon.com/support/esim-activation-instructions/. If you run into any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for assistance!
