Echo on incoming calls

christine3cats

Incoming callers to my Samsung Galaxy S20 hear their voice echoing back to them when they talk. When we hang up, and I call them back the echo goes away.

However, I think the incoming callers are on land lines, different mobile device

christine3cats, we want to make sure your calls are working properly! Please tell us, when did this start? Were there any recent changes to your device (such as software updates, new apps, etc)? Does this happen everywhere or only certain locations?

Started 8 months ago. WiFi calling is being used. Use a Bluetooth does not happen. Folks were suggesting turn off Video call effects and restart the phone??

We appreciate the additional information, christine3cats! Are your device software and apps fully up to date on your Galaxy S20? https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-231628/ To clarify, do you experience the same issue when not using Wi-Fi Calling? Could you tell us a bit more about the video call effects you're seeing on your phone?

Had the same problem. Reset network settings and it was fixed.

Talkback app already disabled.

Hey Google already disabled.

Location doesn't seem to matter.

However, I think the incoming callers may be iPhone users.

Thanks for reaching out here! This needs attention, any static and echo is annoying! We can get to the bottom of what is causing this with your calls. Please reply to the private message that will follow to get into details.

I was having the exact problem. Narrowed it down to WiFi calling. Reset network settings and that fixed it.
