So in order to synch messages now, I need Google Messages? Well in order to use Google Messages, I have to synch my phone, but in order to synch my flip phone, I need to download Google Messages. I cant download Google Messages on my flip phone. How do I forward messages to my Tablets line? Why cant I just use Verizon Messages+? It worked perfectly. Do I need to buy a new phone, just to send messages to my Tablet? How can my Tablet receive texts without Google Messages?

Hey there, Mks83, Google Messages is available in the Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.messaging&hl=en_US&pli=1 on Android phones. If you have a basic phone, you will be able to use messaging on the native text application as opposed to Google Messages.

In order to pair the two devices you HAVE to have Google messages installed on both. You can't download it on the flip phone so it prevents you from setting up Google messages on your tablet.

If you have a basic phone, I don't think there's any way to sync texts across multiple devices.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

I'm in the same boat with my Kyocera flip phone. The easiest solution I found to send messages from a tablet or computer is to type my message using Google voice with my Google Voice number and text it to my flip phone. Once received on my flip phone and viewing it, I then forward it to whom I want to get the text. It works pretty good, although a little clunky, but it beats hunt and peck on my flip. Hope this helps.
