Galaxy s21 ultra suddenly doesn't support hotspot?! Really?!

A few months ago I used my unlocked galaxy s21 ultra. It suddenly stopped working, stating I had to upgrade my plan. I proceeded to do so and now pay an extra 15 dollars a month for this privilege. Now it is no longer working, and this time verizon help assistants are simply saying my phone doesn't support mobile hot spot -- which is absolutely untrue. Has verizon arbitrarily decided to just dump my phones model in an attempt to get me to buy a new device? Please give me back my hotspot! I am paying for it!

Is your SIM card old?  Maybe you need to get a new one and then check if there are any software updates.

Remarkably, mobile hotspot can be activated on the s21 Ultra by creating a "samsung routine" that turns it on. It then works as it always has. I have no idea why. It appears to be a software issue -- but its strange that the device is now being dubbed "incompatible" with Verizon Mobile Hotspot when in fact it is, and still functions with this slight workaround.

Same issue here. I'm actually getting ready to switch and carry my number over to AT&T

Thank you for raising your concerns, especially as we don't want to lose you as a valued cusotmer. We do not have any reports that this is something that has been changed by Samsung. Have you made any recent device or plan changes? When you log into your My Verizon account doe sit still show Hot Spot as a feature?

Did you try creating a Samsung Routine per PizzaBeerMaster's post above to see if that fixes the hotspot issue?
