How to Copy & Paste large qty of older messages Note 10

Using the Note 10 messaging app (blue color icon), how do I copy a large qty of older messages, in a single pass (all at once), between myself and a single contact, then paste them into an Excel doc w/o having to purchase some solution or upgrade to some Pro version like MightyText would have you do?

It's not my intention to back up my messages, meaning all of them. I prefer to back up messages for one or two of my contacts only and then only copy and paste the backed-up messages into an MS document.

I have yet to attempt backing up messages to V Cloud, but if I did this, would it be possible to copy & paste messages to MS Docs?
