I purchased a Verizon Samsung Note 8 quite a few years ago. I paid for the phone in full. I have since upgraded to a new Samsung phone, earlier this year.
I attempted to give my old Note 8 to my daughter. She noted to me that the phone was still locked to the Verizon network. How can i get the phone unlocked? I thought once the phone was paid off, it would be unlocked
Please let me know, Thanks.

Did you buy the Note 8 through Verizon, or through a 3rd party retailer? I've read of numerous instances where phones purchased outside of Verizon fall through the cracks with the device unlocking policy. If Verizon refuses to unlock the phone, try filing a complaint with the FCC. You will need abundant proof of purchase indicating you are the original owner and purchased the phone legitimately.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
