I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, on a standard 5G prepaid account. The MyVerizon app is very broken on this device. It has the slider set to "use biometrics to sign in", and verified by asking, but it never gives the option at the sign in page. Every time I tap the widget, even if the app is open in the background, it pushes to the app, and then jumps to the sign in screen.
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app. I've started in safe mode, and re-applied the widgets I was using. I wiped the system cache and the app cache/data, then did an uninstall/reinstall again to see if maybe lingering data was an issue. Nothing works.
I have a friend with an identical phone, also using Verizon with an unlimited plan, so they never cared about the widget. Their phone does the same thing, so its likely ALL S22 having this issue.
