Not receiving all texts in Group Messaging

My Samsung S23 has been having problems receiving group texts. At first, I thought it was an iPhone/Android issue, but I started noticing that I was also having problems receiving texts from other Android users. It's very random. I'll get a text in a group, then a couple of the group members show up individually as having a message waiting to download, but it never comes. In looking here and online, this seems to be an ongoing problem specific to Verizon Android users that has been going on for years. It seems to have gotten worse when RCS chats with Google Messaging became the method. No one at Verizon seems to know how to resolve the issue. I've tried everything. I went to a corporate Verizon store to get help and they all said it's a big problem and they don't know when it will be solved. In a group where others don't have Verizon/Android, they are moving on with life and you'll be left out of the conversation.  I missed a very important medical issue of a friend within my group because my cell provider (Verizon) couldn't or wouldn't provide the basic messaging service I pay for every month. Should I switch carriers? I don't think switching to iPhone will help because there will always be a non-compatible phone within any given group. Please advise.

I'm having the same issue with my Samsung S20.  Cait, the link above to "view solution" just brings me back to this thread - is there a way you can send me the fix?

Just wanted to say Thank You to vzw_customer_support for solving my group text problem. It's been almost 2 weeks now and I haven't seen any issues and have been able to participate in group messages, so I think it's fixed. Thanks!

What did they do to fix it?!  I've had this problem for months now, since Apple enabled RCS. Since that went live, RCS group texts with iphones in my family fail or take a long time to deliver (15 min to a couple hours).  Somethign is broken on the back end.

I'm not exactly sure what they did to fix it, I had received a reply from vzw_customer_support  and then they connected with me in private messages . Hopefully they reply to you and make a fix for you.

I know how much I rely on all of my text conversations to stay in touch, shleaker. I am here to help. Can you tell me when this issue first started happening? Does this seem to affect all group messages, or just specific contacts with group text messages?

I'm having issues with RCS since Apple turned on RCS. Now all my family members' iPhones can group chat just fine as always, but my Android does not receive any of their messages.  It used to be delayed, then work for a while, then longer delayed, then days where I get nothing, no now my phone (after reinstalls, cache clearing, reboots, etc) won't even sent RCS. It never says "RCS Message" before you stop typing (just "Text Message", and never appears to "think about it" or try to negotiate RCS, even though in Settings it says RCS is connected in green.  I'have had Tier 1 AND Tier 2 look at this and now it's escalated to whatever is next (T3 / engineering I hope).  I'm still on ANdroid 12 final build - it used to work just fine with this build but now I'm wondering if behind the scenes it's been blacklisted for RCS. 

Doesn't help that I've been in this house for 5 years but Verizon has yet to provide a decent signal anywhere on the west side of town. It's horrible. In 2020 their suggestionw as just to leave and pick another carrier!

Do you have your mobile data enabled, and is the Messages app allowed to use it? RCS requires a data connection, unlike SMS. Android 12 is the minimum, although you may want to double check that your phone has a 5G SIM Card inside of it if it is using a physical SIM. Also make sure RCS didn't get blocked on your Verizon account as a feature, as the "Connected" status message you're seeing could simply be Google's RCS network, which iPhones don't necessarily use.
