Not receiving text messages on Message+ app

I have a Galaxy S20 FE 5G. As of a day or two ago I stopped receiving text message. I can send (and they are received by others), but I do not receive any messages.
I have restarted my phone, cleared cache for the app, cleared data from the app, forced stop of the app, checked for app updates from the Google Play Store - nothing is fixing this.
Any ideas or help??

Having the EXACT same issue, did all of the same troubleshooting tips per Verizon, no luck, no answers.

Same issue. Was told that they have an alert that some customers nationwide may experience issues with receiving SMS services. Their network team is aware of this issue, but there is no ETA at the moment.
Super frustrating. I got an update yesterday so I'm wondering if that's the issue.

After being on the phone with Customer Support for OVER 2 HOURS, the analyst received the same alert that you mentioned...from the engineering teams. The person assisting me said to check back within 24 to 48 hours to see if a resolution has been found OR when a resolution may be implemented.
Crazy frustrating. My husband, on the same Verizon contract with the same phone, is not having any problems receiving text messages.
I also completed a security update last night, but my husband's updated the night before. His texts are working fine.

Wow, you would think someone at Verizon chat would have known and mentioned it in the 2 hour chat i was in with them today.

I wasnt, until i got back on chat with customer service. Woman told me it could be 5 days, i told her that was unacceptable and i eanted an update on my ticket #. Then all of a sudden, i had over 20 textessages come through. Im sure it was just a coincidence. 🙄 She said she looked at my account and incoming messages were blocked, on THEIR end. No way i could have fixed it, she had to unblock it. Amazing that over 2 hours working with 4 different people yesterday, nobody came up with that. Again, im sure it was all a coincidence. 🤣 I told her i was voting for her for president.

Just an FYI in case the posters in this thread weren't aware: Verizon is shutting down the Messages+ app in June 2024 and recommending that users switch to Google Messages instead. It sounds like the software glitched out earlier and got fixed again, but who knows, the glitch could be related to the upcoming shutdown.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Not sure about others, but we've never used the Messages+ app, just regular Messages. Yesterday's "customer service expert" even asked what color my icon was (blue) so he could get me the correct troubleshooting steps, which as it turns out, were useless.

We certainly want to ensure that you are receiving your text messages and we understand how concerning it is for them to not be working as expected. You shared previously that you had completed some prior troubleshooting, can you share what troubleshooting has been completed? What type of device are you using? Is this with all text messages?
