I have a samsung galaxy watch 4. I have a samsung zfold 3 cell phone. Both purchased from. Verizon through my plan. First lets hit the high notes.
Cell plan unlimited one phone line. Says registed on my verizon app.
Watch plan purchased has own number connects via bluetooth to phone. Says unregistered on my verizon app. Shows on the account as a device. When watch is not bluetooth connected to my phone I can make phone calls and send texts through the watches private number. If it is connected to my phone it becomes my phone and the watch does not use its plan. If I call the watch phone number it will just not ring, if I call my cell phone number and the watch is connected then the watch rings. Watch seems to be working fine. Watch works fine when not connected to phone. Watch works fine when connected to phone. But, it is the only thing on my account showing unregistered. So it is the only place I can connect the word unregistered.
I have started getting a message on my cell that says you can only make emergency calls your device is unregistered. Each time I open my phone a pop up says, you have an unregistered device. You can only make emergency calls. It also says this at the top of my pull down menu. I can not make nor receive calls through any device when it is showing that message. I was like what in the world. I googled, it says sim card is lose or misaligned or I am in airplane mode. Nope, am not. I go to my verizon app to see if maybe logging in changes it, nope. I see it says my watch is unregistered and think to my self...hummm..... so i turn bluetooth off and bam... my phone works again. I also read that my watch is not registered because it is mine. It would only need to be registered if it needed its own my verizon account. Which is stupid. It is connected so it should show registered. I have just about 6 payments left and I own it. I hope this is not planned obselence so I have to buy a new one. This has never happened prior to this week. So it is a new issue.
So i attempt to call verizon and a bot says let us help you on line and we have sent you a text go click that and chat. So I do that. 32 minutes it takes and load load loads... no chat ever comes up. I attempt to call again and same thing. Chat is not opening... and I have a phone that will not work if my watch is connected. Tell me why I pay $144.00 a month for a complicated mess that I could go prepaid for at $50... because, Lesa, you want customer service. That is the difference. Well what kind of service is this.. you refuse to accept a call and you refuse to answer the chat... are we on vacation????????
I have now attempted to go through chat 11 times. I have attempted to call verizon 31 times. I have been trying to contact for 3 hours now. When posting this it said I had to revise because I said an ugly word. Are you kidding me... 31+11=42 what type of nice words do you reckon I have left in my vocabulary. I am a 50 year old grandmother with a sick grandchild here and worrying about my phone working correctly. Do not let my age fool you, I can dance circles around most electronically speaking. I built my own smart house and I did it well!
