Samsung News notifications

I've only recently been receiving notifications on my phone to sign up for Samsung News, which I'm not interested in. The app cannot be uninstalled or disabled either. Is there a way to turn off these notifications? I'm afraid to delete my Samsung account because it sounds like a mini factory reset where it erases everything related to Samsung on the device...

In case anyone else is wondering about this, I figured it out: You just have to go to Apps, find the Samsung News app, and then under notifications, disable all notifications. Sometimes I feel like I'm too dumb to use a smartphone. 😳
