Samsung S23 Ultra Voicemail Issue

Voicemail app on my Samsung S23 Ultra is not working properly. It does not give me notifications of new voicemails, unless I manually refresh it, but that doesn't always work either. I have to call *86 to hear if I have any new messages. I do not have subscription to the Premium Visual Voicemail, as I don't care for it. Does anyone else have/had this issue?

Hi Maria,
Yes, my software is up to date. This happens always, regardless of the type of connection. This has been happening since the first day I got this phone. My husband and I got the identical new phones last summer, and he never had this issue . The only difference is that he is with AT&T.
I tried all the recommendations for fixing this from the online support groups, as this appears to be the known issue for this particular phone with the Verizon plan. Nothing worked.

Yes, I tried that, the app still doesn't work. Even when I press "Refresh" it doesn't do it.
However, it ONLY refreshes by itself after I call *86 (in any mode, "safe" or not). Somehow calling *86 activates the app. Which defies the purpose of having this app.

I can see my voicemail messages on the same phone, but they won't play back and the arrow is gray and not black.

I have the same problem and have since I got the phone months ago. Phone is great but this issue has not been fixed. I have gone through everything you can possibly do to fix. Uninstall empty cache force stop and reinstall multiple times doesnโt matter. Verizon this is a big problem for a flagship phone and a service that should work that you are charging premium prices for. Not being able to get voicemails in a timely manner like I do on my apple devices. You should be as embarrassed as I am for staying with you.
just laying out the truth here. I shouldnโt have to go hunting for my voicemails and having to refresh to receive ones that are not showing up in my notifications drop down menu

I have been having this identical problem with Verizon on my S23. No way Verizon could make a downloadable App for thisโ๏ธโ๏ธ. Very, very annoying.

Having your voicemail services working as needed is always of the utmost importance to us. There are several things that can impact voicemail notifications from coming consistently such as signal strength for one. Are you seeing this happen at multiple locations or more often at specific locations?
