I am very annoyed with Verizon. In December 2024, I saw that Verizon had a promotion for a free 50" or 75" TV. In order to receive this promotion, I gad to:
1- Pay off current phone ($311)
2- Change plan to Unlimited Ultimate ($20 more than current plan, also loses Disney+/Hulu/ESPN so now i'm paying to have it)
3- Get specific phone (chose the S24 Ultra)
4- Trade in S23
The trade in was going to be $1000 credit or the TV. I wanted the TV but I wanted to make sure I qualified for the 75" and not the 50", so instead of proceeding online, I called to speak to a Rep. So I called, she asked what the specific promotion was, she found it, told me I qualified for the 75" so I proceed with the steps above. When she emailed me the contract I needed to sign, I told her that I did not see anything about the tv, that I saw a credit for the phone but I shouldn't get the credit. She ASSURED me that the tv was on there and stated that I would receive an email from Samsung after 30 days.....(30 days have past - still no email) I said ok, and once I got my phone, I traded in my S23. After I turned it in, I got an email about the phone credit. Again, I wasn't supposed to get a credit, but I thought that was just an email about the phone value. on January 9th, I got my bill and noticed that I had a credit to my phone so I called. The rep told me that the previous rep did not put the tv promotion and that I had the credit instead, so she escalated my issue. On 1/17, I called Verizon back to check the status and I was told by that rep, that I had to wait 30 days from the 9th and I told her that that wasn't fair to me. I did everything I was supposed to do, but the rep didn't, so I should not have to wait due to their mistake. She kept telling me that I had to wait so I asked to speak to a supervisor. She refused to put one on the phone. She kept expressing that the supervisor was going to tell me the same thing so after going back and forth with her asking for a supervisor, I told her that at that point, I just want to do a customer complaint to which she said the supervisor will call me back. (it has been a week and there has been no call back). I ended up calling back and asked for a supervisor, A gentleman rep whom I was talking to said my issue will be escalated and someone will reach out. It sounded like his words were scripted, but it has been almost a week and no call back. My new bill for feb. has also been issued and guess what....I still have a phone credit so it doesn't seem like the issue was fixed. I ended up paying off a phone and raising my bill for a plan I didn't need and i'm not getting the promotion that was promised.
