Thank you for reaching out rokko123 that we may review the carrier lock message you have shared. Let's gather a few details. Do you currently have an active Verizon Wireless account? Where was the phone purchased?

Unfortunately, you've been burned. There is a misperception that Verizon phones will simply unlock after 60 days, but this is not true. The only way it happens is if you are a Verizon customer using the phone on their network for 60 days, and the network is only in the US. Hope you can get a refund.

Hi
Considering the age of the phone i would say that it will have been used on Verizon for more than the allotted time of 60 days i have been told by Verizon that the phone is unlocked after supplying the imei to the online assistant also verified that there is no outstanding finance or unpaid account so why does Verizon not do what is there policy and unlock the phone.

The policy also states that phones don't get locked after they've been unlocked too...which means your phone must be blacklisted because someone reported it lost/stolen. And the only way to undo that is if the original owner asks to have the blacklisting removed. From what I've been reading in these forums, am really starting to think there's some serious shady monkey business going on with Verizon phones being targeted. There are plenty of threads from people whose trade-in phones were lost and others from people who order a new phone only to never get it. Meanwhile, other threads crop up almost daily from people overseas who have a mysteriously locked Verizon phone...

rokko123, we understand that you are having issues with a device that you purchased from a 3rd party. Verizon's devices are unlocked after 60 days of activation with Verizon. Device activation can also be impacted if a device was not paid in full or if a device was reported lost/stolen with us. We understand that you are in the UK. We recommend reaching out to the seller of the device. Only the original owner of the device would be able to make the necessary updates for the device to be unlocked.
