T-Mobile iPhone users not receiving my text messages

I am going nuts trying to resolve the issue.
I have a Samsung Note 10+ with Verizon. Up until recently I have been exchanging text messages with a number of people with no problem. Suddenly, starting about Friday, November 1, I discovered that several people did not receive my text messages (group messages or individual texts), although I received theirs.
- I found at least 5 people were not receiving my messages.
- They all use iPhones. I verified that 4 of them are with T-Mobile. I don’t know about the 5th.
- Other iPhone users who aren't with T-Mobile do not have the problem.
- My default messaging app is mysms, but I tried it with Samsung messages with the same result.
- In another forum, someone suggested it could be an RCS issue and that I could try turning it off. I couldn’t find anything in either app about RCS. So, I downloaded Google Messages, turned on RCS Chat and enabled the option to send as text message if RCS isn’t available.
- One of the 4 contacts, who had updated her iPhone, then received my text; another who bought a new iPhone was then also able to receive my messages.
- A third contact still cannot receive them, and no amount of my adjusting the RCS settings (on/on with switching to text/off) works.
- When I send a group chat to the person who can receive my messages and the one who still can't, neither can.
- When I turned off RCS, even the person who was able to see my messages wasn't able to.
- I think it is probably related to T-Mobile-iPhone update version, but I can't force people to update and nobody has said they are having the same problem with other Verizon-Android users.
I called Verizon. The tech refreshed everything but said I need a new sim card. I said I would go to a Verizon store to get it replaced instead of waiting to receive it in the mail. But when I went yesterday, the person there said I was still getting reception, so I don’t need one, and that that they don’t replace sim cards anyway.
Has anybody else experienced this problem? Could it be relating to the SIM card?

Update: I've been holding off posting saying the problem is resolved because I don't know how it got resolved and I don't want to jinx it!
I had searched all over for answers - this forum and Android, T-Mobile, and Apple forums, talked to Verizon both on the phone and in-person, had my SIM card switched out. Nothing seemed to work. Then one day, all of a sudden, the two iPhone users with whom I had been communicating the most regarding this problem received my texts, even group texts. And the others, with whom I hadn't had a problem, were still able to receive my texts.

I don't know what the Verizon rep found in your account regarding the SIM card, but I'm shocked that a store employee would not replace the SIM card for you. It couldn't hurt to switch it out if it's old.
As for the texting issues, I have RCS turned off in Google Messages to better accommodate people with older phones which may not be able to get the latest version of software. If it is only iPhone users who cannot receive a text from you (regardless of whether RCS is on or off), it could be either that they need to upgrade to the latest version of iOS 18, which does support RCS, or they need to go into their phone's settings and make sure SMS and MMS are enabled, otherwise they can't get any texts from Android users. There are quite a few YouTube videos explaining how to troubleshoot and debug this problem.
If no manner of tweaking on everyone's phones does the trick, then there is something going on in the network where Verizon's SMSC is not communicating with T-Mobile's SMSC.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, this Verizon employee said they don't even stock SIM cards because the new phones don't use them anymore - it's all electronic.
The problem is, I don't necessarily know who isn't receiving my messages because I receive theirs and not everybody replies to all texts. It's only when one person started getting worried because she was expecting something from me and hadn't heard back that I realized she wasn't receiving my texts. Then another person had the same problem. After asking around, I found that 5 people hadn't been receiving texts. Also, I can't make other users download updates and/or tweak their settings.
The other thing is, nobody I know has said they are having the same problem with anybody else. And I've been searching this and other online forums and haven't seen the same complaint.
I guess I could get Verizon to send me a SIM card and see if that makes any difference.

While it is true that big-name manufacturers have gone more to eSIM phones, not all phones are eSIM capable and Verizon still sells plenty of phones needing a regular SIM. When I ported back to Verizon at the beginning of this year, there was no problem getting a SIM card for my phone. That's pretty sad the store employee didn't want to help you. Maybe they were a 3rd party store and not a corporate one.

It's definitely a Verizon store. But it seems there was nobody there with any technical skills (no other customers either) and this person recommend I go to Asurion and get a diagnostic if I wanted to check it out. Strangely, they didn't even seem that much into selling, either. When I asked about getting a new phone, they told me I can get a $850 rebate on a new phone but didn't offer to show me anything. I might try a different store. I went to one on Saturday, but it was so busy.

In some places, the 3rd party Verizon stores look exactly like the corporate stores. Whomever it was at that store was obviously not into their job IMO. If you don't want to go to the "busy" store, I did find this on the website about ordering a replacement SIM card. You can have it delivered to a Verizon store for pickup or get it shipped to you.

Thanks. I'll try the busy store again tomorrow morning - probably won't be as busy. If they won't change the SIM card (they have in the past), I'll just order it to be shipped to me.
Doubt whether it will solve my text problem, but who knows?

Hi ROSMEH35. We don't want to see you chase around to find answers and troubleshoot your phone. We recommend complete troubleshooting first, if a sim replacement will solve the problem, we can work with you on that but we want to make sure there is not another underlying issue going on. Please reply to the following private message so we can look into the issues with persons not receiving your messages.

Hello again sepiakhavi. Do you have any of the phone numbers available to share, when was the last time you were able to reach the numbers and when was the last time you have tried. We want to get to the bottom of the text dilemma.

I have the same issue:
I am on a Samsung S22 Ultra with Verizon.
There are three people (so far) that are with T-Mobile on iPhones who do not receive my messages, but I receive theirs.
I have no issues with people on carriers other than T-Mobile. Today is 11/26 and it's going on just over a week. I've rebooted the phone and the T-Mobile users have as well.
Really hoping a solution turns up quick. Searching around I see that this is not the first time this has occurred. There are postings around from more than a year ago. I'm thinking that someone at either Verizon or T-Mobile needs to boot something.

Thanks for that info. We have 2 lines - I didn't think of trying it with the other line.
What phone do you have with the line that's experiencing the problem?
I had the SIM card swapped out yesterday. No difference.

I went back to the "busy" Verizon store yesterday and got my SIM card replaced. Made no difference.
The technician hadn't heard of this issue either and could offer no ideas or solutions.

Hey there, so I'm sorry those T-Mobile users aren't reciving messages. To clairfy so I can better understand the issue, are they not getting iMessages or is it just SMS texts? There's no issues calling these contacts? Also is it some messages or every message that's not being recieved?

I tried sending a text message to the two people I've been having problems with from my husband's Verizon Samsung. This time, Person A, who has not been getting my messages at all, was able to see the one I sent from the other phone. However, the Person B, who saw my messages sent to her only after she updated her phone and I turned on RCS, was unable to see the message sent from the other phone.
