The end of my relationship with VZW?

Today I attempted to start my hotspot and my phone indicated "Your plan doesn't support mobile tethering".
That's a lie.  I have paid the tethering fee of $50 per month for the last 17 years.  It still shows on my February 1, 2024 bill - paid 1 month in advance as always.  What also shows are two tiny checkmarks which indicate:  "Service Added"  and "Service Removed."  Why it took until today for the hotspot to stop working is anyone's guess.
The itemized charges have not changed.  The description next to each charge is the same as the prior month.
I tried calling, but of course it is Sunday and "our offices are closed" - other than a virtual/digital/automated assistant that tried to get me to buy a new phone 4 times during the 3 separate phone calls I made.  Of course, if I want to buy a new phone they have a sales agent available.  And according to the automated system - "your device doesn't support hotspot functionality."  You've got some big whoppers in the hopper today VZW.  I've used this device as a hotspot for 18 months or so.  It has worked perfectly.
Well, Verizon, it's been a long road for us.  I had an account with this company before it existed - I was an original Ameritech cellular company customer.  Twenty five years.  And here we are - your customer service has disintegrated to nonexistent.
It might be time for a mint to eradicate this bad taste from my mouth.

I am at the same point after 34 years a customer.  Why S24 Ultra does not support hotspot after paying for it at $90 / mo.   I went through all the same useless, time wasting exchanges with Verizon customer interfaces.  There is no way to every get a human to answer this basic question.

We never want to see you miss out on using the hot spot. What plan are you on EDw3? When did this start?  -Joe

I don't know what plan. You should know what plan.  I had hot spot in the past.  Verizon mapped me into one of their "new" unlimited  plans.  I think it's the more entertainment.  It's not exactly easy to find your plans in the app and exactly what I have.  However this plan has like 30GB of tethering.
