Visual voicemail failed in change from Galaxy S9 to Galaxy S21

Just moved my wife's number from Samsung Galaxy S9 to Galaxy S21. Visual Voicemail on old device auto-saved old messages, and had a capacity of 40 messages. New phone seems confused - (1)Says she has space for only 7 more messages when there are only 3 on it. (2)Some of voicemails in her inbox are from the old phone. (3)No auto-save option in settings.

Please: What can be done to un-confuse voicemail so that she'll have the correct capacity and inbox on the new phone? Thanks in advance.

Hey there, OregonDave, I hope your wife is enjoying her S21 and we know it's important for her to have the higher capacity for her messages. It sounds like her voicemail feature may have been changed along the way when upgrading her phone as the Premium Visual Voicemail will allow that 40 message capacity: https://www.verizon.com/support/voice-mail-comparison/. You can easily upgrade by opening the Voicemail app, tapping Menu (three dots) and selecting Upgrade to Premium.

Thank you for your reply, but that isn't the issue. If I go to voicemail settings on the S21, it shows "Downgrade to Basic" as the choice, indicating that it's already in Premium. Other ideas, please?
