Voicemail Pauses During Playback

I have visual voicemail set up and have for a few years now but just recently when I go to listen to a voicemail it will pause for a few seconds in the middle of the voicemail and then start back up. I've noticed this while listening through the device at my ear and also when I click on the speaker option to listen.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

Its super annoying and eventually just try to rely on the visual voicemail but most of the time the translation is incorrect or cut off.

  • Taylor, same phone, same issue. It's not a problem with the message itself. It's ALL messages. They play for 1-2 seconds. We have to keep it on speaker, and keep tapping play, as if it's a darned video game.

Let's find out if the pausing continues while the phone is in Safe Mode.

What are the results of playing it when in this diagnostic state?

On safe mode it seemed to work. But even when I'm not on safe mode, eventually the playback will be normal without pause. How do we determine what app could be causing this or what setting?
