Voicemail app on phone but can't add to home screen

The Voicemail app on my new unlocked S20+ (replacement for lost phone) is listed in my Apps (settings > apps) BUT it is not in my list of installed appsn or can I add it to my home screen or access it.

Verizon tech is stumped. Everything else works fine. My only option now is to call *86.

That's so strange, and we want to make sure we can help. Can you open it from your apps menu?

Nope. I can see it in the list of apps, but I can't open it or access it or put it on the home screen.

I spent an hour on tech support with VZW, got put on hold, and disconnected So here I am.

I'm a phone and tech junkie, so I'm very savvy to how these devices work, they're settings, they're operation and this one has me stumped as well.

PS - the app is neither "hidden" in the launcher or "disabled" in the app settings.

I appreciate all that you have done regarding your voicemail application, Lock-N-Load. I see you mentioned that you have an unlocked S20+. There are some features that are not available to unlocked devices, like Visual Voicemail.

The Verizon branded billing features that are not supported on Open Development (OD) Verizon Certified Unlocked Devices include:

Visual Voicemail (VVM)
LTE Video Calling
Enhanced Address Book
VoWiFi (Wi-Fi calling)
Integrated Messaging

Wait, say what??

You clearly advertise people to bring unlocked phones to your company. None of those ads say, "but basic functions won't be available". No vvm, no wifi calling? That's nuts. How does one use a phone in a remote area with no Wi-Fi calling?

Now that I know this, it feels like total bait & switch advertising. I would NEVER have bought an unlocked model had I known basic functions won't work. It's as though you're punishing people for not buying your branded model by holding back functionality. Wow.

Going thru the exact same thing. Upgraded to an unlocked s20 plus and can't even transfer my voicemail

Please tell us more, when did the issue start (were you ever able to relocate the app)? What recent changes have you made (software update, new phone, etc.)? What other issues are you encountering?
