What is going on with my warranty replacement device shipment?

TL;DR - Verizon's customer service department is giving me the runaround after telling me that my warrany replacement phone was on its way.

 

Oct 25 (Wed) - I opened my phone and it felt weird. About an hour later I opened it again and there was a thick black line down the centerfold of the inside screen and touch screen isn't working. Opening still felt weird. Decided to try resetting phone in case I was just imagining the weird open/close feeling. Nothing changed.

Sept 26 (Thur) - Went to Verizon store, they looked at it, asked questions and tried processing a warranty replacement. They were unable to and said it was due to some error in Verizon's system that we would need to call for Tier 2 Tech Support.

Sept 27 (Fri) - Called Tier 2 Tech Support. They said they would get it taken care of since it is under warranty and it was obviously a device defect. We were told that it would be in by Tuesday (Oct 1). Tuesday came and app said it was shipped on Sept 30 (Mon).

Oct 2 (Wednesday) - We are used to things being slightly delayed where we are, but were getting worried since it was supposed to be express shipping. Called customer service to get update. They transfered us to another department which transfered us to apparently assurion, which said there was no replacement. We explained that it was a Verizon replacement and we got transfered back to Verizon and someone that said they understood and would help us, they looked into it and said that shipment was cancelled and they were looking into it. They were helping us for a long while and said they were getting extra help and would stay on the line and we were place on hold for an extra long time before someone else picked up and had no idea what was going on. We went through the whole story again and they got a supervisor and eventually after 97 minutes on the phone they could not tell us why it got canceled but that it was now re-ordered and would be here by Friday (Oct 4).

Oct 4 (Fri) - Checked app again and says ordered on Oct 2 and not even shipped this time.

What is going on !?!?

Oct 4 (Fri) - Update

It is now moved to shipped. Will update if there are any further changes or if it seems to get stuck again.

Verizon is obviously playing games. They have again canceled the order and edited my post to remove the accusations that they are trying to void the warranty by waiting until the warranty period expires... i'll be taking screenshots this time
