When I am using my phone the screen fades out and I have to keep touching it to see the display. This is particularly annoying when calling a vendor and I might have to use the keypad. I have tried to use the suggestions for other phones but cannot find proximity (which by the description would not help when using earbuds or if it was on a holder), or another suggestion for which I cannot remember and surely cannot backtrack to find. Screen Timeout is not helpful either. I have it set to 10 minutes. samsung fold 5 5g

This has been an issue with at least the last 3 phones. This is a new fold5 purchased at Thanksgiving and has not been damaged.

To give something visceral, I can make two moves in Mahjong well I wait for someone to return to the phone. Or I can not make it through a long list of options.

All Samsung. About 5-10 seconds. I have to keep poking the screen to keep it lit.
