So I just did some troubleshooting on this wi-calling was set to cellular preffered first. I changed it to wifi first and now it's working. Just in case anyone else ran into this issue.

On another note, why does verizon not have an option in sub-topic for any samsung galaxy phone older than an s9. They have all the versions of iphone though.

Hi, here's how you do that:

1) To create a new thread, click or tap on "Ask a question" button on the top right.

2) You'll get this screen (the forums kind of slog along on my PC for some reason, so not all the boxes are appearing in the screenshot, sorry...)

3) In the "Title" box, type the name you want for the thread (usually people just describe the problem they're having or state the question they're asking).  I ignore the suggestions the forum software tries to give, unless it happens to come up with exactly what you wanted to name your thread. 😉

4) In the "Topic" box, choose from the drop-down menu which forum you want the thread to go into.  If it is a device question, put it into the forum associated with that make of phone or the device type.  Otherwise, pick from the other categories which one would best fit your question (billing, other account discussions, network, perks, etc.).  "Suggestions for the Community" is feedback on these forums themselves, not for reporting problems with Verizon network service or general network questions .

5) In the "Describe your discussion topic" box (again, my screenshot doesn't show a box there, but it should be a box), type the detailed description of your question, problem, or feedback.  There will be assorted formatting options much like email or word processing programs near the top of this box which allow you to format the text as well as insert webpage links, emojis, and pictures.

6) Click or tap on the Post button at the bottom to post the thread.
