grid options missing

The Home Screen and App grid options are missing on my Galaxy Z Fold 4. If I search for "grid" under Settings, only the camera grid comes up. I want to reduce the size of the app icons. Any suggestions?

Hey there, Egrodri. We know it's important to be in total control of your device settings, and we'd be happy to lend a hand. Please tell us, what happens when you touch and hold a blank area of the home screen? Do you see an option that says "Settings"? If you see that option, please select it, followed by "Home Screen grid". Please let us know if this helps.

When go to Home Screen Settings per your instructions, Home Screen Grid is not listed. The only items listed are as follows:

Cover screen mirroring

Add media page to Home screen

Show Apps screen button on Home screen

Lock Home screen layout

Add new apps to Home screen

Hide apps on Home and Apps screens

App icon badges

Swipe down for notification panel

Rotate to landscape mode

In this case, you would need to go directly to the Settings application as the option is not on the home screen settings. You would need to go to Settings> Home screen > Home Screen Grid, and from here you will see the options available.

Whether I go to Settings by swiping down or by holding the Home screen, the Home screen menu is the same. There is no Home screen grid option.

A  search for "home screen grid" or "grid" brings up two answers:

Camera settings>Grid lines

Accessibility>Speak list and grid info

I checked Home screen settings while in Safe Mode. As before, there is no Home screen grid option available.

Thank you so much for checking. Can you please check your phones software and make sure it's completely up to date? If possible, can you also try try powering up your device in Safe Mode and trying to check for that setting again as well? Here's how to place your device in Safe Mode: https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-302307/
