When I hook my phone to pc there are no prompts to allow access to the phone.  I tried the file explorer to look for a phone folder - no luck.  I might have to take phone to the Verizon store & see what's wrong if I can't seem to do this myself.

Thanks for trying to help me

You're welcome.  Is it possible your PC doesn't have the right USB connection port to fit the cable you're attaching to the phone and computer?  I use my phone's charging cable with the USB ports on both ends, and the smaller plug has to go to the smaller sized SS USB outlet on my computer.

I use Google Messages as my messaging app and with pictures there, I tap on the image which brings up a larger view of it, then click the download button in the corner.  It then saves it to my gallery.

Okay, how do I transfer to pc.  I put check marks on each photo.  But no luck.  I have a lot of photos on computer from my old phone.  But since I bought this one in Nov. of 2023, I can't seem to transfer to my Dell.  It states that it is importing, but nothing since Nov. of last year.  Help.

I hook up a USB cable to the phone and my PC (I also have a Dell), and then the PC and phone will both prompt me to allow access to the phone.  In Windows, open File Explorer and scroll to the phone folder.  Open it and look for the folder with the pictures in question.  I think the last time I moved some photos, I selected the image in question and then right clicked, then pick "copy to" (wherever you want the picture to go on the PC).  I guess you could also copy the entire folder of the pictures, but if you have a lot of images it takes a while.  It even takes a bit before copying a single image appears on my PC, and I have a mid-range gaming PC.

When I hook my phone to pc there are no prompts to allow access to the phone.  I tried the file explorer to look for a phone folder - no luck.  I might have to take phone to the Verizon store & see what's wrong if I can't seem to do this myself.

Thanks for trying to help me

You're right SynthpopAddict!!  My PC doesn't have the right USB connection port to fit the cable I'm attaching.  Both ends are the same size (on the smaller side) to fit into my S23 Galaxy & the wall charger.  I just didn't notice that.  So I've been going nuts trying to figure out why it wouldn't transfer pictures from one to another.  Sometimes the solution is right in front of a person.

Thank You very much for pointing that out.  To the Verizon store I go Monday to buy an appropriate cord or adapter.  YEAH

You're welcome and glad to be of help.  Yeah, I did that same thing myself with plugging the little USB connector into a regular USB port on my PC and wondering why even though it "fit" into the slot, nothing was happening.  Then after I moved the small plug to the correct outlet, somehow missed the prompt on my phone asking if I wanted to let the PC access the phone the first 1-2 times I was moving pictures.  D'oh!  🙄
