sd card on Samsung A20

When I brought my Samsung A20 phone over from Walmart Family Mobile prepaid to Verizon prepaid a few years ago, I was given a Verizon branded SD card. Now, after a few years more, I want to expand the SD card up to 512GB which is the most this phone will accept. My questions are

1. The new SD card is SanDisk branded. Will this new SD card continue to work on the Verizon network so the phone will continue to receive uninterrupted service?

2. Will everything on the old SD card remain in the phones internal memory be automatically switched to the new SD card once installed?

3. Is there something else that needs to be done before the actual switch out of the SD card to make sure nothing is lost? (apps, contacts, photos, ETC)

I looked on Google and there's some conflicting information as some links say you can't have apps installed on an SD card and others say you can have apps on SD cards.  Hopefully this will help...

1) If your SD card only has data and not apps installed, then changing out the SD card shouldn't mess up any basic phone functions like calling, texting, or accessing the internet.

2) and 3) Since the SD card works like an external hard drive or thumb drive, anything which is on it stays on it unless you manually move it to a new SD card.

You might want to check this support link from Samsung for more information:
