I recently switched to Verizon and took advantage of the iPhone 16 promo with trade ins. We sent back 5 phones (in one box, per their instructions) and so far have only been credited for 3. The three phones that were credited all showed “received” on the same day, but were all approved within 24 to 72 hours which makes sense. What worries me is that the missing two don’t even say “received”.
I called customer service and was told I made a mistake by sending them all back together. After I pointed out that the “Get ready to trade in your device” email specifically said to send them back together: “Print your shipping label. You will receive 1 shipping label to return all devices together.” She put me on hold. When she came back, she told me to just keep waiting and contact them back in a few days. I’m now approaching day 30 of the trade in period and they are still not showing received. I could understand if they just hadn’t been processed yet, but why don’t they show received with the others?
I keep getting notifications from Verizon saying I am going to lose the trade in credit if they don’t receive the phones soon. Not getting off to a great start with Verizon…
