Billing Issue

I liked the idea of getting an Iphone 14 so I agreed to a 3 year contract with unlimited talk text internet since they had a promo that the phone would be 5$ a month.  After the first month I added my daughter since they had a promo stating she could get an iPhone 14  with a 3 year contract by just paying the sales tax along with an iPod.  I agreed to pay X amount of dollars that was satisfying to my budget. I was overcharged the first 3 bills and later credited for the over charges after hours and hours of time spent trying to resolve. They billed me the correct amount for one month and then it was right back to overcharging me every single month.  One month as much as 80$ more than what I agreed. I've had to fight with them every month and it's the same deception. Long story short, VERIZON IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES IVE EVER MADE. They got me locked and and pretty much just charge what they want. I'm extremely busy and don't have time to spend hours dealing with this. After missing my company Christmas party do to having to argue an 80$ overcharge, I'm trying to figure out how to escape. I have proof of all the overcharging.

I have the same issue. I’m locked in but just discovered that I’m paying for a service I declined when I activated service 7 months ago. They’ve said it’s been removed but refuse to credit anything but the current month  for it. I told them to stop sending me offers because this guarantees that I will not be taking any further services from them. The kicker is that I was told my services would be the same as my previous provider and even with the unwanted services removed it’s $30 more per month than what had before.

I've had the same problem. First they were charging me for 4 phones. 2 imaginary numbers so I was getting charged taxes and I call and call .  They actually believe I have 4 physical phone which no I only have 2 I fell for that add 2 lines you'll get unlimited everything for$160.  a month. What a joke . My 1st bill is $250 . I have paperwork saying 0 dollars for the phones my phone I get the promotional discount.  My husband's phone I get  month 1 month I don't. His phone was not a trade in it was paid for free and clear. So  I was promised a discount monthly for 1 year Verizon would make a note on my account all I have to do is call month and receive the promotional discount for my husband's phone . I got it once. I've used Verizon 21 yrs . I'm 65 they tell me I can get a seniors discount if I uploads my ID on their website.  OK Where ? It's all a mystery.  I'm looking to get a new phone company.  Contract or not. They can't garnish my SSI check. They really should be ashamed of themselves

I gave up on this discount,  I'm not arguing and getting upset over a power hungry customer service operator.  I paid my husband's phone. Thanks for not  standing to your word and loyalty to your client of 21 yrs. I'm salty for not getting my discount as promised will always give Verizon a bad review.  Thanks for never offering me my senior discount also. What a great company you are

I have the same issue, they’ve been charging me a “rollover” bill since last year and every month the amount is greater than the last. They refuse to acknowledge it and insist that the $600+ charges are attributed to usage. For example, I’m being charged $10/day for a travel pass that they claim I used because people attempted to call me while my phone was on airplane mode. Despite my best efforts, I can’t find an itemized bill with the charges they claim are still outstanding from previous months.

I’ve $2500+ on my phone bill this year.

Hello SintraMartins. You can sign in to My Verizon through your desktop computer to get: Talk, text and messaging activity details and spreadsheets for the last 90 days. 18 months of past bill statements, which include billed usage summaries.

Hi Ivone,

Thanks for your reply but it fails to address the issues at hand.  First, the bill Verizon claims remains unpaid is older than 90 days. Second, I propose that Verizon's invoicing format is designed to intentionally confuse customers to prevent them from disputing excess charges.

I've been charged reconnect fees for months in advance, before my phone service was ever disconnected, and my phone service has been cut every month since I joined with only 24 hr notice to pay an outstanding bill which I've repeatedly disputed.

I'm done with Verizon and want to get out of this contract as soon as possible.

Every month, I am overcharged and have contacted Verizon four times since signing up with them. Each rep gives me nonsense, I'm sorry and then doesn't credit me the hundreds of dollars I am being overcharged.

I’m so disappointed with Verizon. They quoted me prices and didn’t stick to any. I had paid them $300 and they cut my service off with NO warning a few days later. And had asked me to add free lines which are not free. So  they charged me $120 for cutting off my new service. Paid them almost $400 and just got a new bill for $400 which is for one month. We have internet service and that’s more than we were told. And they said no senior discount but there is . I have spent overs on the phone with them  I even have a text message from a call that said my bill would now be $260 a month but was told when I called again they don’t have to honor that. What! It came from a Verizon employee! The promotions we signed up for isn’t honored. I had heard about their awful customer service but had years ago and didn’t believe it. My son and his wife literally record  every conversation when they go into the stores.
they won’t call because it’s always different and more money.

I am having this same issue. Bill gets higher and higher and higher. Now my phone is disconnected and I can’t even speak to an agent until I pay it.  It’s consistently increased and I have been paying for the same device on two lines for almost a year now. I just realized that.

They just charged me over $600 for my 2nd bill (1st bill)… the math doesn’t add up. It’s a huge mess!! Thinking on just leaving them after this bill.
