Billing increase

When I signed up for my plan it listed my bill as being $65 a month. Now I just paid a bill that was almost $100! Why the difference? At first it was just the set up charge the first month so I just kind of shook that off. But why is my bill increased every month? This is why people don’t trust contract phones and why I just went with prepaid for so many years. I’m greatly disappointed but maybe I shouldn’t be. Can we get my plan back on track? I only get one bar of service where I’m at anyhow.

Can you please provide more information about the specific charges on your bill? It's hard to give you a suggestion without knowing the details? Don't include any personal information when describing the additional details.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

There are taxes and fees which aren't included in the plan pricing, plus you are required to purchase $20 (?) of perks when on MyPlan, so that's where the extra costs are coming in. I wish Verizon would not force postpaid customers to buy perks which add on to the overall bill, but it is what it is.
What's more concerning is your getting only 1 bar of signal. If it is like this everywhere you go - was it like that when you were prepaid too? - might be time to look into another provider because your service will not be reliable for voice calls at least with only 1 bar. Poor service can certainly be had for less money elsewhere. Or if Verizon is the only carrier who works where you are, would go back to prepaid, unless your current deal with Verizon has verbiage stating you must stay on the deal for 36 months (usually this is for things where you got a phone or traded in a phone).
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
