My watch will now cost $4 more per month. After 12 years I believe I am reaching a breaking point where I am forced to go elsewhere.
First, the phone prices increased, then the service “adjustments “ where some stations were lost, now the watch plan is increased by more than 30%!
I am done. Sales reps simply want to swap phones and increase monthly charges. They have no interest in saving money for longstanding customers.

I received this in email today...
"To continue improving our industry-leading network and services, the price of select Smartwatch data plans will change as of June 3, 2024."
Price is going up $5 per watch, $15 total for my 3 watches.
This is the last straw with Verizon. Been a customer for over 20 years, worked for them for over 10 years. Customer service has been handed to the lowest outsourced bidder somewhere overseas so any help is near impossible, prices keep increasing and quality of the service feels worse today than it was 15 years ago.
Goodbye VZW!

If a company is making profits, what is ... ( To continue improving our industry-leading network and services, the price of select Smartwatch data plans will change as of June 3, 2024.) in other countries the prices of data is very low but in in the US. These companies are just money grabbers.

I'v been disappointed with Verizon for the past few months. First they offer new plans at a higher cost, which contain less features than before. Then they raise those prices. Now they raise the Apple Watch prices. I use maybe 1mb of data on my watch- so how could they justify raising prices to almost $20. I filed a complaint with the FCC and suggest you do the same - https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/articles/360001201223-Phone-Form-Descriptions-of-Complai....

Thanks for passing along the information for the FCC. I will definitely be filing with them later as well. I have been a Verizon customer for over 25 years and this may be the last straw, raising my watch fee now? Come on! I have debated on switching in the past with allof the additional fees that make no sense for the the same or less quality service. This is highway robbery!

Update; I was contacted by a member of the Verizon team. They called me a month ago and agreed to give me a $2.50 credit to counter the increase for a year. However, that was never applied to the most recent bill I received. This company is getting on my last nerve. I just canceled the watch plan and refilled with this FCC, I’ve had enough

Mine are going up $5 each. I share the same feelings. I have been a loyal customer for years, and have 6 lines- four phones and two watches. I already pay almost $300 a month. This is the straw that broke the camel’s back as far as I’m concerned. The costs to upgrade existing lines, combined with almost monthly rate increases, and I’m out. I’ll give someone else a year or two, and then see what offers they have for new customers, since those are the o my people Verizon cares about.

I never got an email and I'm on the Unlimited Plus plan with a large family plan with 2 cellular watch plans. I can find no official Verizon articles on this other than people saying they got an email (and I did not).
Are ALL watch plans going up or just certain ones?
Thank you

We know how important it is to stay on top of your bill, we'll be glad to help out. In this case, the Unlimited Plus will also see the price increase, however if you are receiving a discount on your bill for that line already, the credit will remain active on the account. If you have any other questions let us know.

Hello Freddy, thank you for taking the time to reply!
OK cool, I don't put it past my email service or my delete happy fingers to have missed the Verizon email (as to why I didn't see it). heh.
If I'm doing math right, with my 50% discount, we should really only see a few dollars more a month for each of our watch line plans. (I think it's $5 right now, after taxes - $9 - so +$5, maybe $2.50 more?)
Thanks for your time - hope you have a great weekend.

Please show me where it is legal in my contract to raise prices on the watch while under a contract. If i am legally locked in for 3 years, my price should be locked in for 3 years. I signed a contract for a specific price. If i was out of contract i could understand but i am still under contract and so is my price

I found this....
"If you're a Postpay customer and a change to your Plan or this Agreement has a material adverse effect on you, you can cancel the line of Service that has been affected within 60 days of receiving the notice with no early termination fee if we fail to negate the change after you notify us of your objection to it."
So i object to the raising of the price of my watch. Please do not raise it. It has an adverse affect on me. It must be negated.

I am done as well with Verizon. Costs go up more and more. I am even locked in at contract for my watches for 15 more payments. This $5 a month increase negates my discount that I was receiving on my watches. So basically I no longer will receive my discount on my watches since the $5 increase negates 90% of it. Paying off my watches and disconnecting service to them. Just a joke. I am also going to get rid of Verizon as my network, as we get horrible reception where I live anyway.
I am just done with a company that is all about raising fees. And writing generic statements to reach out to them, so they can do nothing to help you. Lets fly a lot of bubbly up the customers you know what, so we can try to make them think we are helping them. Like some one stated above, they want me to leave my current plan cause it is costing them more. If I go with a new plan, then I get less and get to pay the same or more. Where is this a deal? You pretend to save me money.

So shady, Verizon!! For my fairly unreliable usage of my phone as a watch, I get to pay more?! The links in the little blue announcement on my bill regarding the $5 increase don’t even work, so basically Verizon is going to increase the cost (take money) and not offer an explanation. That is technically stealing. And of course I, the customer, will have to spend hours of my time trying to decipher and navigate the circular conversation with customer service to attempt to keep my already too-high plan where it’s at.
I’m just going to yank everything off my Verizon bill except the phone service and pay directly to Apple, Disney etc.
After 20 years Verizon, shame on you!!!!!
