Switching to an unlimited plan

Anyone changing a current plan with Verizon, be careful. I recently switched from one of their older plans to one of the new unlimited plans. Before making the change, I asked 3 separate times if this would in anyway affect any discounts or credits I was receiving, and was told that no, nothing would change except for the plan. it is now 3 months later and I get a bill stating that my device credit, which I had received each month for about 24 months, was not valid with my new plan (which Verizon pestered me to change to). This is the umpteenth time I have been told that by changing to their new plan that all the old discounts would still apply, and more often than not, I end up losing something, and then being told, well we can't switch you back because the old plan doesn't exist anymore.
As a Verizon Fios and wireless customer for over 20 years I have unfortunately come to expect this. I even have this last conversation in writing, having saved a transcript of the chat, only to be told by the next rep, well, that rep was mistaken, and they should have informed you of the change. It's always the same thing, Whoops, I know we told you something, but we messed up and now there's nothing we can do about it. May be time to look for a different provider.

Hello gsobon. We want our billing and any changes made to be completely transparent with no shock when receiving the bill. Do you have time to meet us in private message where we can discuss and review your Verizon Mobile account, check for options to make sure you have the plan/features that meet your needs and your budget?

I'd be happy to chat again, but it's not a question of reviewing my plan and budget, it's more a question of being told one thing from a rep and then having something completely different happen. And it 's not a one time occurrence. But I'd be happy to discuss it further.
