Recently, I switched from T-mobile to Verizon with the Unlimited Ultimate plan. However, so far my experience with the service is unsatisfactory. When I noticed that I am not getting 5g service, I called tech support and was told that they would switch me to a nearby 5g tower in 5-7 days. When that did not occur, I called again and now being told that 5g is not available in my area. I am surprised! When I subscribed over the phone, I was not made aware of this at the time of signing up. If I had, I believe I would not have switched providers. Moreover, promotional mail that came to me, said the following as the first item on it: โ5G Ultra Wideband, enhanced video calling and Ultra 4K HD streaming.โ
My previous provider was T-mobile. Their service in my area DID provide 5g access. I was a fool to believe that Verizon, which is also a top provider WOULD also do so. I was fooled. I live near Washington DC. I am amazed to be told today that 5g is not available in my zipcode. If that is the case, why wasnโt I made aware of this important distinction between Verizon and T-mobile. If I were, I would not have made the move.
If this is one โcatch,โ who knows how many more surprises are in the sack! Seriously considering switching back.
