When I got my Oct. 2024 bill, it was higher than the previous month without any explanation. I called Verizon and was told that the credit I had been receiving for allowing Auto-Pay had been cut in half without any advance warning. The Verizon Customer Service Rep said I could save money by enrolling in a new plan...Unlimited Welcome. The Rep pointed out that none of my current benefits would change but the monthly price would be less. I agreed with her recommendation and just got my monthly bill -- it's more than my bill was in October!!! OUTRAGEOUS!!! When I called Verizon today to complain, I was informed that my trade-in credits for my previous cellphones were removed from my bill because Unlimited Welcome doesn't allow those to be applied. The Rep spoke to her supervisor and couldn't get permission to reinstate them, even though the Rep I spoke to in Oct. intentionally lied to me to make her commission. They wouldn't even consider restoring my old plan and would rather lose me as a customer. With the competition (T-Mobile and AT&T) now offering very attractive plans, I have no choice but to look at changing carriers who will value me as a customer and hold their employees accountable for their mistakes.

I have the same exact situation that you do. Please see my post right after yours. This seems at the very least, unethical, and at the worst, fraudulent. The Verizon store switched my plans for me and did not tell me about losing my device credits. Additionally, we are stuck in the middle of these device credits, for devices we have already physically given to Verizon; however, they can at-will change the terms on their end of the agreement. I have been a Verizon customer for 29 years and got ZERO help from Asheika in their loyalty department. As far as I am concerned, they should shut that department down. They add no value and it is clear that Verizon does not care about customer loyalty. I am looking at T-mobile options as well. T-mobile will give you 4 - iPhone 16 Pros for a total of $25 per line per month.

Omg, it’s like you are talking about my problem!!!
My service after going on unlimited welcome is sooooo bad. The download speed is 5.
I’ve talked to 4-5 reps and if they won’t fix the problems. I will switch to another carrier after being their customer for 10 years

Hi Sherry2000,
We absolutely value you as a customer and would hate to lose you after 10 years of business. One of the great things about our MyPlan service structure is that it allows you to choose a plan and tailor it to best suit your needs. We have the Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Ultimate plans that offer premium network speeds as they're not subjected to the network deprioritization that occurs under the Unlimited Welcome plan, which can impact your data speeds. If you'd like to know more about our plan options, please visit https://www.verizon.com/support/current-unlimited-plans/ or contact us directly at 800-922-0204; we'd love to do an account analysis for you to ensure that you're on the plan fits you best!
