I've looked at other discussions on here concerning "6245" but don't see what I'm looking for. I have a friend who, for years now, has sent me text messages using his email address. Lately, when he has texted me, instead of his name showing up, I see those numbers. I know it's from him though because of the topic of conversation. How can I fix this so I see his name instead of those numbers?

That's something to do with your friend's email to texting app. If he is using Vtext, that's no longer supported and Verizon has been trying to sunset it for quite some time now.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

Hello Bren451, if your text messages on Verizon are showing "4625" instead of a person's name, this likely indicates that the sender's phone number is not saved in his contacts with a name, or that the messaging service he is using for email to text app could still be set to an outdated one that is no longer supported. Please check with him to check his settings. -Sarge
