The coverage/reception in the Macon,NC area is very poor now. This use to not be the case. Has there been an issue recently with the towers in our area?
Is it everywhere you go in that area or just at home or work? If you haven't already you can call tech support and they can see if there have been issues reported for that area or put a trouble ticket in to have the area checked.
You should call customer support from another line (landline, maybe). This is a peer to peer forum and we customers don't have access to that information.
Hello Dotman1984,Having the best wireless service is something that we take pride in. As your wireless provider, we want you to enjoy everything that we have to offer. I'm eager to partner with you and get this taken care of for you. May I ask what zip code are you in? Also, what make and model device do you have? First, I want to check your area to see if there are any network enhancements that may be in your area. Also, I can check to see if there is a software update for your device. I'm looking forward to your reply.Thank you...ArnettH_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
The zip code is 27551 for my area. The type phones we use are Casio G'zOne Commando(mine), iPhone 4S(wife), they both have the same problem with poor service.
Thanks
Robby Ross
I notice the areas around you have 4G but you do not. Since Verizon is finishing up it's 4G deployment it's very likely they are working on the towers in your area. You know the tower guys can't exactly work on a tower with it on at full power.
Since you have 3G only smartphones, I would suggest updating the programming and the PRL. Dial *228, option 1 (VZW programming) and repeat to select option 2 (PRL update).
@Dotman1984Thank you very much for providing this information. I was able to look over the coverage area and this location looks as though it may be challenging. Service can become more difficult if terrain is blocking line of sight to the tower. Here is a look over the coverage map in the area: http://vz.to/10FA4LAAnn154 brings about a valid suggestion. With both devices being 3G, you may dial *228 send and then option 1. I truly appreciate your great suggestion. YosefT_VZWVZW SupportFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
