This is the worst. I have tried to live with this move. Verizon email wasn't that great but AOL is the worst. I decided to use Outlook but I can only connect with pop 3 and I cant't get my personal folders from AOL. I want to keep the verizon email address but if I end up having to change that then I will also change my tv and internet and cell phone accounts. I have been with verizon when it was a Bell. That can change.

First your listing in the wrong area. This has to do with DSL not email.
i agree that AOL/Yahoo are pretty bad. I still have an old DejaNews account email which was taken over by yahoo. Still works great.
i would simply get a GMail or Outlook mail account. You might lose your old email, then again I don’t save it unless important then I either forward to an account like Gmail or I burn them to disk. There is an EML reader app that works on all types I downloaded many years ago. Verizon email was never that great. And I have had them way back when it was Bell Atlantic internet. Once they switched over to Verizon net it was totally unreliable. Like news groups many isp’s want to get rid of email as well.
And remember the days of free web page space? That’s gone also.
This has nothing to do with dsl. I have FIOS. Its about Verizon not caring about their customers and dumping us on AOL the worst email online.

I stated what I said because it appeared in the wrong forum. It is now in the proper section. Many posters post in the wrong areas until they are moved.
verizon owns AOL-Yahoo under a company called Oath.
they transitioned their Verizon.net over to a more established email service(s) but like most well intentioned processes it messed up.
it moved over flawlessly to hundreds of thousands of other customers. Others well not so well.
That is is why I said use a better email service like Google GMail or Microsoft Hotmail/Outlook
like me my mother in laws Time Warner/Charter email that is terrible I switched her over to GMail and she loves it. Save yourself the aggravation do the same.
