My mail email is verizon.net which is now serviced by AOL. I am moving to an area where fios is not available so after 10 years I will be discontinuing my subscription. I am wondering if I will still be able to use this email account or will it be closed?

If you have moved over to AOL/Yahoo (Oath ) you should still have email access.
the good thing about using AOL/Yahoo/GMail/Outlook or other free email services is they are usable until you cancel the email services.
