Apple watch SE3 (with cellular) Failure to Receive Calls with Cellular Plan

I have Apple 16 Pro Max and Apple Watch SE3 - they are paired, but when the phone is shut off the watch can not receive calls. The call goes straight to voicemail. I have been in the store as well as online Verizon support for almost 5 hours, but no resolution.

f there is a fix or remedy anyone else from Verizon Wireless has it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks for confirming those details with me, ajaj. The host device does have to be on and active for Numbershare to work. It will allow your watch to receive those calls when it is out of range, which is roughly 30 feet with Bluetooth. If you power your phone on, and are more than 30ft away from your phone, are you able to receive calls to your watch?

Being able to receive calls when you're away from your phone is certainly important, ajaj. I am here to help. What happens if your phone is on and you're away from your device? Do you know if your Apple Watch is set up as a standalone or with NumberShare?

Interesting. I will have to try it out. So essentially you are saying is that for apple watch (with cellular) to receive calls , the paired iPhone has to always be turned On. Seems like a glitchy functionality. But nontheless, I will try this approach and get back.
