Number Share Not Hiding Connected Device Number with Galaxy Watch 7

I have set up Number Share on my Samsung Z Fold 6 phone and Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 LTE, where my phone acts as the host and my watch as the connected device.
Here’s what works as expected:
- When I receive a call or text on my host phone number, it works normally.
- If I turn off my phone, disable Bluetooth, or put the phone in airplane mode, calls and texts to the host number still ring and appear on my watch.
- Both the watch and phone share the phone cell number for texting and voice calls.
However, I’m experiencing two issues:
Outgoing Calls and Texts on Verizon LTE: When I make a call or send a text from my watch, the recipient sees the watch's phone number instead of the host phone number.
Receiving Calls and Texts on the Watch Number: If someone calls or texts the watch's phone number directly (not the host number), the call or message is received by the watch. According to the FAQs on Verizon’s site (https://www.verizon.com/support/numbershare-faqs/#extension-device), when Number Share is set up correctly, the watch’s phone number should be blocked.
- Numbersharing: The Watch does receive text messages sent to my cell phone number unless the watch is connected via blue tooth to the phone. The watch on LTE only receives voice and msg to its number.
I've been working with Verizon support but haven’t had any luck resolving these issues. So far I've spent > 10 hrs on chat and 2.5 hrs at a Verizon store. Verizon support has deactivated and recreated the Watch 7 line 4 times, each time indicating it was setup for Numbershare and associated with my cell phone number.
I'm at the end on my rope with Verizon technical support and just dropped LTE for the Watch since it useless. The Verizon store tech helpfully offered to sell me another Watch 7 but would not drop the $50 restock fee if the Watch did not work on their network. Why have LTE when the Watch needs to have a Bluetooth connection to the phone. to get txt and msg.
Is anyone else facing the same problems, or does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?
Side note:
An older link indicates this is a Verizon problem and it seem only some techs can fix it.

I do not have a solution, my watch does not work independently from my phone as of yet. This is very disappointing. When I have the time I will have to continue calling support to see if they have yet to solve what ever the issue is

Hello, Nmn85, we certainly don't want you to feel disappointed regarding your watch. Can you tell us more about the issue you're running into with your watch and getting it connected to your phone?

Please read the original post! The above message sounds like a canned response by Verizon, it's not helpful and demonstrates poor customer support.
Summary: Using VZ Number Share is it possible on a Galaxy Watch to leave your phone behind (or completely off) and receive and send message using the cell phone number from the watch? If so, how is this accomplished since numerous VZ representatives could not get it to work include representatives at your Verizon store.

Excellent question. With numbershare, you are able to receive text messages and calls without having your device. You will need to keep your phone on. ~Peter

Plan to spend plenty of time with support. If you get disconnected the next agent starts from the beginning. The online chat is using AI or similar so the real agent is only partial dedicated to the issue. I spent about 8 hrs online and 2 hrs at a Verizon store before giving up. They all could not get it to work as advertised by Verizon.
The key issue is that with number share one should be able to turn off their cell phone, go out on a run and receive and send text messages from the Galaxy watch via the cell phone number and not the number associated with the watch itself.
What I really need is a knowledgeable VZ representative (not AI) to join this discussion.

Having the same issue! Calls and texts show the device phone number. Already wasted hours on phone calls.

Same issue here. If my watch is connected via Bluetooth to my phone I get texts and calls from my phones number. If I shut off phone/disconnect Bluetooth my watch will only recieve calls and messages/ send calls and messages from the number that Verizon has associated to the watch. I've spent a good 2 hours "trying to be helped" . They made me an appointment to go into a corporate store but reading these comments I have little hope and don't want to waste my day doing g the same thing over and over with them scratching their heads. Galaxy watch ultra , Samsung s23+.
