Price increase

I see on my plan that as of 6/3/24 that the somewhat unreliable service to use my expensive cellular Apple Watch as a phone is increasing by $5.
The little “i” to click on for information doesn’t open anything up to reveal information, nor does the “learn more” bubble. In other words, here is a price increase and no, Verizon is not explaining why.
Absolutely unacceptable!! Been a Verizon customer for 18 years and of all the low-down, sneaky things I have put up with over the years, this beats all.

Anonymous001, your 18-year loyalty means the world to us, and we always want to help clarify any billing questions.  To continue improving our industry-leading mobile network and services, we’re adjusting our plan prices. On 2/22/24 the price of smartwatch plans increased to $15.00/month from $10.00. Initial email notifications to inform customers of the price plan change were sent on 4/25/24. The price will go into effect on 06/03/24.

We're so sorry to hear about the unreliable service you experience on your line, and would be happy to help. Could you please tell us a bit more about the service issues you experience? We want to help out as much as we can.

Same here, 18 years with Verizon. Different company from when I first joined. Customer support is pretty much non-existent now. Try giving your phone company a call and see how many hours you wait.

Now I'm getting charged $5 more a watch. For what? So they can "improve" their service? I get 2 bars in my neighborhood and have several locations where I hardly get any signal in a Major metro area.

$5 per device for everyone in this country means a lot more money for Verizon. That's the real reason it's being done. Just how Netflix and every other service slowly chips away out our income.

I use AT&T fiber for my internet, which is great, and as much as I don't like AT&T, it might be time to make that switch after 18 years.

Hi Vondy, we appreciate our time together and would be sad to lose you as a valued customer. Our latest offers for plans are available here: https://www.verizon.com/plans/unlimited/ including a Netflix perk option which would save you money on your subscription. There may be loyalty offers available through your online account as well. Please let us know what questions you have.
