I just purchased a new unlocked galaxy watch ultra from Samsung and have been unable to activate it on Verizon. Level 1 and 2 support are saying the device is incompatible but Samsung support says that it is. Who is correct?
Verizon tried to sell me one through them as a solution but they want $635 whereas I paid $225 through Samsung with promotions so that is obviously not an option. I see similar posts on here about this issue; does anyone have a resolution or should I just return the watch to samsung?

It's definitely important that you're able to bring your own devices to our network, Greg102. It sounds like you got a pretty great deal from Samsung on that Galaxy Watch Ultra. While we do our best to ensure a large number of devices are compatible with our network, not all are. I did review the list of compatible devices for Samsung Wearables that are not Verizon branded devices, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra is not compatible. You can always confirm compatibility online when bringing your own device here: https://www.verizon.com/bring-your-own-device/

But Verizon itself sells the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The one from Samsung is unlocked and advertised to work with Verizon. Maybe they're at fault but what technical reason is there that it wouldn't work? It seems that Verizon just doesn't have these IMEI in their database. There was a post awhile back on this forum about the same issue and the customer said support had solved the issue by a special form to custom add the IMEI. Can you help me with that?

It just comes down to how the watch is manufactured and it wasn't done to be compatible with our network. We do not add IMEIs to our database, it is not an option that we have available.
