Verizon is not able to activate the newest Apple replacement watches on member accounts with certain older plans. I currently have a Apple Watch Series 6 phone activated and was replacing it with a new Apple Watch SE3. Verizon customer support and a store visit staff are saying that because the new watches are 5G capable the SE3 and Series 11 watches are "incompatible" with certain older plans such as my "Unlimited55+Loyalty" plan. This is despite the fact that these new watches also support LTE (4G) connectivity. Has anyone found a workaround for this with Verizon. I'm not sure if it's worth escalating this further with Verizon Product Engineering.

The suggested link in the inbox to authenticate does not work.

As of Sept 25th, I've signed up with Verizon for a new plan which they call their "Unlimited Welcome" plan. This plan actually saves me a few dollars a month after a Military Discount of $25/month and (theoretically) will allow my new SE3 watch to activate when the new plan is effective on Oct 3rd. While this new plan limits permitted cellular data volumes, time will tell if this actually works to activate my new Apple Watch. I'll confirm on Oct 3rd if this actually works.

Apple Watches are very convenient and we're going to help with that activation. We sent a Private Message, and ask that you reach back out to us in that message so we can make sure the activation goes through. You can find the activation for an Apple Watch here: https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-215386/
