"Location Shared" Notification Alert on Gizmo

Hello,
I purchased two brand new Gizmo 3 watches for my two kids and activated them Thanksgiving weekend. Ever since we got them, one of the watches vibrates due to a notification every time a guardian or caregiver loads the GizmoHub app, which causes the location to be requested, and the watch then shows "Location Shared". The other watches does not notify at all when its location is requested, which is my preference rather than to constantly hear the buzzing and notification sound. I can't make any sense why one device would behave this way when the same model does not. Does anyone know why this may be, is it possible to disable this behavior or do I need to return the device that's doing this? Thank you.

Hello, Heldmacm, we know how important it is for Gizmo Watches to be working correctly! You mentioned you have two devices. Do they both have the same settings? Have you set up Location Alerts: https://bit.ly/3De3dZ8?

Hi Lauren, I just saw your reply here and in a similar thread where I mentioned this. No location alerts and the same settings. As an update, I confirmed this is happening on both devices and not just one as I had originally thought when I made the initial post.

It's our goal to ensure that the Watches are set up perfectly for your needs without any issues. Is it mainly just the sound that you are trying to prevent? If so then thankfully this can be adjusted by using the Quiet Mode and Quiet Times features. Another option is to adjust the volume as well. Here is more information:

How does this sound? Does this information help?

I'd prefer not to turn off the sounds in case there's a call, text, etc. that my children receive that they would want to hear. It's the sound and the vibration that are annoying in that they don't seem to serve any purpose. I suppose it would be helpful to know what the purpose of these notifications are in the first place.

Is Verizon planning to release a fix to this? It's very clear there is an ongoing issue given the numerous customers in this thread and other threads asking about the exact same issue since last October !
My child has been complaining that ever since the last update (last Oct-Nov I think) she gets "location shared" alerts throughout the day. She said that all of her classmates are experiencing the same annoyance and that the only solution is to put the phone in school mode.
It seems that the solution is pretty clear: remove the feature added in the last update that generates a notification each time location is shared (or create an option to disable it).
