Is There A Pay As You Need Data Plan For iPads?

is there a month-to-month option for a data plan for ipad?  i won't need data every month so would like to not have to pay for what I'd never use....anybody know?

You can add the iPad to your Verizon plan (if you have one, that is) for $10 a month and it will share whatever your data bucket is.

If you use data on it that infrequently, perhaps using your phone's hotspot for a wifi connection would be more cost effective - it'll still use your plan data but you won't pay the $10/month.
