How to add visual voicemail to iphone 6

I've tried following the links to the Apple website to add the visual voicemail option. Nothing works. I use basic voicemail and have never accessed the visual voicemail. My passcode to the voicemail is correct. I've reset the network settings. Nothing works. Is there any other way to add this feature to my phone?

My visual voicemail just stopped working. i get no notifications. I get the messages but not on VVM. What should I do to get it back?
