Visual Voicemail not working

i purchased iPhone X through Verizon. Now visual voicemail won’t play messages nor will it transcribe message like it did with my iPhone 7. Verizon says my device is not compatible. How do I get visual voicemail working. I’m. Or interested in voicemail to text option for another 2.99 per month per line.

Have you tried resetting the network settings (Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings) and restarting device (Volume up button, Volume down button, then power/Siri button until Apple appears on screen)? That has worked for most that had this issue occur. Whoever stated that the iPhone X isn’t compatible with Visual Voicemail was incorrect
