Change internal ip address for CR1000B router

Outage
Up until now I have been happy with FIOS, but the past two days have me thinking about changing to another provider. This is the second day in a row that there is no internet and I cannot find a phone number to call to report the problem. The outage map does show an issue in my area. Does Verizon notify customers when their Fios router is no longer supported (I have a G1100)? I would want to upgrade to a newer router when my current model is no longer receiving security updates.
