Combining our accounts under the Verizon Prepaid Family Plan for some unknown reason cancelled Auto Pay and the accounts failed to renew resulting in the loss of our carryover data. Why does signing up for a prepaid family plan cancel AutoPay?

I just got my phone and I bought a $40 prepaid card. Now I have to pay for the second month and I couldn't find a $40 prepaid card so I got a $30 one.
