Making a Payment Arrangement On Your Verizon Account

Need a little bit more time to pay your bill? No worries. Verizon offers payment arrangement  to help you avoid service interruptions.

Setting up a payment arrangement:

  • Lets us know you plan to take care of your bill
  • Can keep your Verizon mobile service from being interrupted
  • Can keep collection activity on your account from starting

How to set up a payment arrangement?

You can visit the My Verizon website or use the My Verizon app to arrange to pay to pay on a date past your due date.  Or, you may be able to split the payment, paying part of the bill at the time and the rest you can schedule for a future date.

The arrangements available to you are based on your account. You may be able to pay your past due balance by:

  • Setting 1 or 2 payments to be deducted automatically from your bank account, credit or debit card.
  • Setting a date to come back and make the payment(s) yourself.

When  can you set a payment arrangement?

You can set up a payment arrangement any time you have a balance on your account, either before or after the account becomes past due.

Before your bill due date: If you already know you can't pay all or some of your bill on time, avoid collections activity and service interruption by setting up a payment arrangement to pay the bill after the original due date.

After your bill due date: You can still set up a payment arrangement. However, any time you go past your due date without payment you might not avoid late fees, collections activity and/or service interruption

Will you get a late fee when setting up a payment arrangement?

Yes. A fee for late payment is still charged to your account any time a past due balance is greater than $7.* A payment arrangement doesn't stop the late fee.

A late payment fee can be charged to your account as early as the day after the original bill's due date. Late fee charges are charged at the rate of 5% of the balance that wasn't paid by the due date or $7 (whichever is greater) or as permitted by law. For example, if your unpaid balance is $50, each month until you're current, a late fee of $7 is charged to your bill (since 5% of $50 is less than $7).
